Children's imaginations can run wild at the Lego KidsFest at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale this weekend.

Mix children's imagination with more loose LEGO bricks than you've seen anywhere else at the LEGO KidsFest.

There will be 150,000 square feet of "hands-on, minds-on" building projects. Kids can re-create a Disney scene or Star Wars character using the colorful plastic bricks. There are five four-hour sessions.

"We've got a host of new activities as well as some areas we know are very popular with our fans," said Vince Rubio, Lego events manager. "Not only will families create some new memories at the show, they'll get another chance to flex and showcase their building skills."

Here are nine activities to look for:

Mindstorms: Build a robot and program it to shoot hoops or bite like a snake.

Race Ramps: Build a race car, then test its performance against fellow builders' cars.

Creation Nation: Build something that represents your favorite place in the United States and add it to a basketball-court-size map of the country.

Brick Pile: A giant pile of bricks where kids can invent whatever they can think of.

Challenge Zone: See who can build the best version of whatever the emcee calls out.

Fusion: Use real plastic bricks and your smartphone or tablet to create a town with houses, shops, roads, people and whatever you can imagine.

Disney Princess: Build a fairy-tale scene for your favorite princess.

Superheroes: Enter the world of Spider-Man, the Hulk and other Marvel action heroes.

Ninjago: Build a Lego ninja, select a weapon for it and take on your friends, relatives or other festival patron. See who can become a Spinjitzu master.
