TSA: More guns found at Sky Harbor on Tuesday

Two loaded guns were found at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Tuesday, according to a statement from the Transportation Security Administration.

The guns were located by TSA agents and were found in the carry-on bags of two separate passengers, the tweet said.

There is no information on where the passengers were traveling or why they had guns.

In 2014, TSA offcials found 78 guns in carry-on bags at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, a 15 percent increase over the previous year, said a report from the TSA.

Phoenix Sky Harbor was ranked third highest in gun confiscation at airports, according to a report from the Department of Homeland Security.

Phoenix Sky Harbor fell just below Dallas/ Fort Worth International Airport with 120 confiscations and Harstfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with 109, reports stated.
