Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, his wife Heidi, and their two daughters Catherine, 4, left, and Caroline, 6, right, gather on stage after he announced his campaign for president, Monday, March 23, 2015, at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz launched his campaign for the GOP presidential nomination this morning. He's been working toward this for the two years he's been in the Senate, but one detail appears to have been elusive: Locking down the most obvious domain name.

Click on tedcruz.com, and someone with a twisted sense of humor has arranged for you to see this:

This is what happens when you click on tedcruz.com.

The aspiring president's campaign site is at tedcruz.org.

According to whois, the tedcruz.com domain was registered in 2004. Various media outlets report it was used by a Phoenix real estate firm, Ted Cruz & Associates. You can see an archived page here.

The listing was updated in April 2014. It doesn't expire until 2017.

Hmmm, wonder what the asking price is.
