Several new businesses have opened in Glendale just in time for the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl crowds.

In the past month, two new restaurants have opened at Westgate Entertainment District, near Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue. The center is an easy walk from University of Phoenix Stadium, where the Pro Bowl kicks off at 6 p.m. today and the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks battle Feb. 1 in the Super Bowl XLIX.

The restaurants are:

•Fractured Prune, a doughnut shop with such flavors as blackberry cobbler, caramel bliss and key lime pie. It opened in mid-January in a 1,463 square-foot location near AMC Theatres. The chain, founded in 1976 in Ocean City, MD, has about 25 locations nationwide.

•Opa Life Greek Cafe, which opened in late December and serves Greek-inspired sandwiches, salads, appetizers and more. It is in a 2,501-square-foot space overlooking the center's Fountain Park.

A third restaurant, Hot N Juicy Crawfish, is scheduled to open today. The 3,926-square-foot seafood restaurant is part of a chain that has are eight other locations around the country, including one in Tempe.

A fourth restaurant, Crave Modern Waffle Sandwiches, is slated to open Wednesday. The restaurant, in a 2,500-square-foot space, serves gourmet Belgian waffles for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.

New spa in north Glendale

Massage Green Spa has opened at the Village at Arrowhead.

The 2,200-square-foot membership-based spa, which is on the southwest corner of 67th Avenue and Loop 101, Glendale, offers European spa facials and a variety of massages, including Swedish and deep tissue.

The franchise, owned and operated by brothers Kris and Ben Petty and father Paul Petty, has nine treatment rooms and 13 employees.

First-time clients can get a one-hour full-body massage for $29.95. Memberships are $39.95 a month and include a free hour-long massage. Additional hour-long member massages are available for a discounted price. Non-member prices are $69.95 per hour-long massage.

The Pettys are planning to open additional Valley locations, Kris Petty said. The next location will open in Scottsdale in the spring, he said.
