Phoenix police are asking for the public's help locating a man who investigators believe is responsible for at least four recent armed robberies at west Phoenix cellphone stores.

The robberies began March 23, with the latest incident occurring on Saturday, and all have occurred in an area along 35th Avenue that stretches from Thomas to McDowell roads, police said.

In each of the incidents, the robber entered each cellphone store, walked directly behind the counter and demanded money from an employee while threatening them with a knife or gun, according to investigators.

Police described the robber as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. The robber also has brown eyes and short, black curly hair.

During one of the robberies, police said a heavy-set woman was seen picking up the robber in a maroon four-door vehicle with tinted windows, police said.

Anyone with information about this suspect is urged to call the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness at (480) W-I-T-N-E-S-S or (480) T-E-S-T-I-G-O for Spanish speakers. Callers to Silent Witness could receive a reward of up to $1,000.
