Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles will conduct a job fair Jan. 5-8 in downtown Gilbert as the popular restaurant chain prepares to open its newest shop.

The company expects to fill more than 60 positions before opening on Feb. 2, co-owner Rasheedah White told The Republic. That includes about 30 servers, 25 to 30 chefs and line cooks in the kitchen, four bartenders and three or four management positions, she said.

Job-seekers can get an onsite interview during the job fair at the Gilbert location, 366 N. Gilbert Road in the new Heritage Marketplace complex. Interviews begin Monday, Jan. 5, and run through Thursday, Jan. 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Come energetic, come ready, come excited, and bring your resume," White said.

Wages vary, but servers typically start at $4.90 an hour, bartenders at $7 an hour and kitchen help at $9 an hour, White said.

The Gilbert restaurant will be the fourth in the Valley for Lo-Lo's, with others in south-central Phoenix, Scottsdale and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Job candidates also may drop off a resume at the Phoenix restaurant or apply online at http://loloschickenandwaffles.com/about-lo-los/careers.

Lo-Lo's in Gilbert will be the latest of several new, trendy restaurants to open in the town's historical Heritage District, including Zinburger, Postino East and Joyride Taco House.
