Taylor Swift hugs Lemonade Guy Derrick Moore on Tumblr

This has been quite an August for hometown hero Derrick Moore, the vendor most likely to have charmed you into buying lemonade with his enthusiastic rhyming at Chase Field, assuming you've been to a Diamondbacks game.

The month started with Moore being named #TopMLBVendor in an online poll of Major League Baseball fans, beating Pittsburgh Pirates' "Mustache Man" Rick Szeflinski with 56 percent in the final round of voting.

Now, the vendor's smiling face is looking out at Taylor Swift fans from the singer's Tumblr page in a photo from Gila River Arena that shows the world's biggest pop star hugging it out with America's favorite lemonade guy — although Swift clearly thinks of him more as Skittles Guy.

As she sums up the meeting on Tumblr, "For those of you who have fallen in love with 'Skittles Guy' because of the video of a man passionately selling Skittles before my show on the Red Tour, I got to meet him tonight. His name is Derrick and he knows you guys are obsessed with him. He sells lemonade now and comes up with rhymes to sell it and just generally delights people in the crowd. I was really excited to meet someone who puts such personal flare (sic) into his job. Tonight's crowd was unreal and I love you guys so much."

Moore works for Levy Restaurants, selling lemonade at both Chase Field and Gila River Arena, where Swift performed two sold-out concerts earlier this week.
