A 20-year-old Mesa man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for posting images online of child pornography taken with a spy camera, according to the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

Marshall MacDonald entered into a plea agreement in March for charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and dangerous crime against children, and he was sentenced on Wednesday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Investigators found MacDonald posted images of child pornography on an internationally hosted file sharing website, according to the Attorney General's statement. The pornographic images posted by MacDonald were of minors as young as infants, the statement read.

A search warrant allowed investigators to locate computers, digital media, and two spy pen cameras at MacDonald's home in Mesa during December 2013.

Prosecutors said MacDonald admitted to sending and receiving images of child pornography and to using a spy pen camera to record females using the bathroom.

MacDonald was arrested and booked into a Maricopa County jail on ten counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of violations of voyeurism.

Upon release from prison, MacDonald will be required to register as a sex offender and will serve lifetime probation.
