Letter: Work in the U.S., but leave family at home

Jerry Duncan
In this June 10, 2013 photo, guest worker Francisco Rosarios harvests onions in a field in Lyons, Ga.

I can see the need for guest workers, but not guest families. Working here doesn’t allow you to bring your family with you. We must require a very strict and harsh penalty for those who fail to leave after no longer being a guest.

But knowing this country’s inability to enforce any immigration law, I prefer no guest worker program. They can always get one of the factory jobs we have sent their way.
