Allhands: Actually, Donald Trump isn't winning

“We’re going to keep the families together, but they have to go,” Trump said of undocumented immigrants in an interview that ran Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

The headlines tell us that Donald Trump is way ahead of his opponents in the Republican presidential primary. The more offensive things he says, the farther ahead he seems to get.

But dig deeper into the data, and you'll see how voters really view him.

The latest CNN/ORC poll does place Trump well ahead of his GOP rivals. But 59 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable opinion of him. Even more telling, 58 percent of registered Republican voters (and independents who lean Republican) said the party would be more likely to win with someone else as the nominee.

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the party's supposed frontrunner, does it?
