Two young sisters were hit by a car while crossing the street Friday, according to officials.
The girls, 8 and 4 years old, were transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with minor injuries and were said to be in stable condition Friday evening.
Captain Larry Subervi, a Phoenix Fire spokesman, said the girls were by themselves when they crossed Glendale Avenue near 37th Avenue and the vehicle struck them.
Subervi said the driver stayed at the scene.
A police investigation was underway.
