With the Koch brothers here, why bother to vote?

Deborah Van Slyke
Most campaign donations, from local races to presidential campaigns, are required under campaign-finance laws to be reported publicly. But U.S. Supreme Court decisions in recent years have opened the door for corporations and labor unions to spend money in elections without revealing their donors through non-profit groups.

I would like to be part of the 2016 political campaign. Perhaps I could invite the Republican candidates to my patio home for cookies and coffee in order to decide which one I am going to vote for.

Whoops it has been done: They all went to the Koch brothers’ weekend in California. The Kochs said they would use $890 million for the candidate they select.

I am not even a small giver. It seems I do not have enough money to vote. Why was it we fought so hard for the right to vote? I guess we were naive to think that you were not supposed to let the billionaires choose.

Money obviously lets you do anything you wish.
