Glendale police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man and woman who may be witnesses to a shooting.

Glendale police released new videos and images of two people who might have information about a fatal shooting earlier this month, and are asking the public to help track them down.

Police said the pair interacted with Damon Brandon Yazzie, 25, of Chinle, just before his death on July 12 and need to be interviewed by law enforcement.

The man and the woman are pictured in bus surveillance footage heading north on 67th Avenue from Indian School Road to Camelback Road, and they exited just after 8:30 p.m., police said. They then walked north along 67th, and the woman and Yazzie interacted just south of Missouri Avenue, according to witness accounts.

This interaction led to the pictured man getting involved, and Yazzie and the man were seen running south and then east into a neighborhood, police said. Shortly afterward, Yazzie was shot multiple times.

Police received a call just before 9 p.m. reporting shots fired and Yazzie was found in the neighborhood just south east of the 67th and Missouri avenues intersection, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The unidentified couple was last seen running together northeast from the intersection, according to investigators.

Anyone with information about the shooting or the couple's identity is encouraged to call Glendale police detectives at 623-930-3173 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
