Gilbert Christian guard Cameron Satterwhite, who committed during his junior basketball season to Colorado, said Monday afternoon that he is awaiting the MRI results of his injured knee.

He said an X-ray revealed a slight fracture of the  femur bone just above the knee.

He landed awkwardly on his foot on a dunk during the last week of the July evaluation period in Las Vegas, playing for Arizona Power Academy.

"I'm not going to be able to play for a while," Satterwhite said. "I've still not gotten my MRI."

Satterwhite said he is getting around on crutches and has not started any kind of rehabilitation since the injury occurred two weeks ago. But he is hopeful that he will still be able to play his senior year.

"I'm still hopeful," he said.

Satterwhite, 6-foot-3, was a big part of Gilbert Christian's Division II championship team last season when he averaged 18.1 points and 4.9 rebounds on a 25-6 team.
