If Milke wants anonymity, she should avoid the media

Debra Milke is adapting to a very different Phoenix than the one she left in 1989.

I’m confused. I don’t know which position makes more sense.

Columnist EJ Montini tries to make a case that mass murderers are unworthy of recognition and should not have their names mentioned. Reporter Michael Kiefer appears to be trying to convince us that people convicted of murder who serve time and have their verdict thrown out deserve celebrity treatment.

Debra Milke was not found innocent. Anyone who thinks James Holmes is not insane appears to overlook what he did.

Anyone who thinks Debra Milke is not looking for notoriety appears not to have read Kiefer’s article. She wants to change her name and move to some anonymous location. She could get a head start by refusing interviews.

We will never know if Debra Milke or Amanda Knox are innocent or guilty. We know James Holmes is. I for one will not feel in anyway diminished if I never read about any of them again.
