Arizona Then & Now: Phoenix Comicon

Phoenix Comicon, which started small as a one day event and has grown into a multi-day fandom extravaganza that takes over downtown Phoenix for most of a week in June, has over a decade of history in Arizona.

The fan-favorite pop culture event has dozens of TV stars, authors and comic-book creators, there are panel discussions on pop-culture icons from Tarzan to Deadpool, plus marathon gaming sessions, cosplay parties, a full-on film festival and even a car show.
