Glendale aquatic centers open for season

Glendale's two aquatic centers, offering recreation swimming, swim and diving lessons, adult water aerobics classes and private swim lessons, are open for the season.

The Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Drive, includes two slides, a diving pool, lap swimming, play structures, shaded areas, a concession stand and a lazy river.

The Rose Lane Aquatics Center, 5003 W. Marlette Ave., has a slide, diving pool, lap swimming, play structures, shaded areas and a concession stand.

Recreation swimming is open through Aug. 2.

Admission prices are based on age and residency: $2.50 for ages 3-17 ($3.50 for non-residents), $5 for ages 18-54 ($6 for non-residents), $3 for age 55 and older ($5 for non-residents) and free for age 2 and younger.
