The teenager who was accused in 2012 of breaking into two Scottsdale apartments and raping the women who lived alone there will face a minimum of 18 years in prison.

Danny T. Jackson, a Chaparral High School student when he was arrested, pleaded guilty Thursday to six felonies from the attacks, which took place six days apart in October 2012.

Maricopa Superior Court Judge Sherry K. Stephens said the two rape charges each carry a minimum of 9 years and maximum 12 years prison terms. For the four other charges, Jackson will get lifetime probation, Stephens said after reviewing the terms of a plea agreement.

Six other felonies, including burglary and kidnapping were dismissed, under the that agreement.

Jackson, now 19, appeared heavier than in previous court hearings. He wore thick glasses and answered in one- and two-word replies.

His case drew prominence because he was accused of entering his victims' patio doors before forcing himself on them. In the first attack, police said he was naked when he watched his first victim, according to court records.

His sentencing was scheduled for July 15.
