Desert Vista's Sabrina Haines commits to ASU women's basketball

Guard Sabrina Haines of state champion Phoenix Desert Vista High School is committed to sign with Arizona State women's basketball

Guard Sabrina Haines, who helped to lead Phoenix Desert Vista to a Division I state title last month, is committed to sign with Arizona State women's basketball.

The 5-10 Haines joins guard Armani Hawkins of Mesa Mountain View High School as ASU commits who will sign in November and begin college in fall 2015. They were teammates at Mountain View before Haines transferred and also played together in club basketball.

In May 2013, Haines participated in USA Basketball 16-under National team trials.

Haines in a point guard who averaged 9.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 3.0 steals for Desert Vista in a 30-2 season.
