Letter: Keep the snacks, lower airfare

How benevolent of American Airlines to resume providing snacks to its customers. How about they keep their peanuts and lower fares instead?

The airline made a record $7.6 billion -- yes, that's billion with a "B" -- in part due to the nearly 50 percent drop in crude oil prices during the past year, and this is how they reward fliers? What a joke.
