Arizona Coyotes sign Tyler Gaudet, Stefan Fournier to one-year, two-way contracts

The Coyotes signed forwards Tyler Gaudet and Stefan Fournier to one-year, two-way contracts Friday after both restricted free agents accepted their qualifying offers before they expired at 2 p.m. Arizona time.

Both players were call-up options for the Coyotes last season, playing with the team's American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield.

Gaudet tallied a goal and three points in 14 games with the Coyotes and another four goals and 13 points in 44 games with the Falcons during his second professional season.

The 23-year-old was originally signed as a free agent in November 2013.

Fournier was acquired in a January trade with the Canadiens along with defenseman Jarred Tinordi; the 24-year-old finished he season with two goals and four points in 32 games with Springfield.

After signing Gaudet and Fournier, the Coyotes have only three remaining restricted free agents unsigned — defensemen Michael Stone and Connor Murphy and winger Tobias Rieder.

Negotiations continue with all three, and a salary arbitration hearing for Stone has been scheduled for Aug. 4 in Toronto.
