Hot takes on the NCAA scandal has heated up as leaks from the FBI's investigation have increased in recent days and Friday night's news about Sean Miller allegedly discussing payments for forward Deandre Ayton unleashed a barrage.

The investigation, which appears to have tentacles reaching a majority of the top college basketball programs, has spawned some calls for change to the NCAA's amateur rules and reflections on the hypocrisy of a billion-dollar industry that profits off of unpaid athletes.

ESPN analyst Jay Bilas, an ardent critic of the NCAA, pointed out that the NBA's 'one-and-done' rule wasn't necessarily to blame for college basketball's problems.

Bilas was more pointed when it came to Miller's future on Saturday morning's College Gameday broadcast.

Another ESPN personality, Dick Vitale, didn't hesitate when it came to what Arizona should do with Miller (and he tweeted it at UA's basketball account).

ESPN's numbers guy quickly chimed in with some dollars and cents about what it would cost to can Miller (you can read more extensive coverage on Miller's contract here, from azcentral sports).

But like a lot of college basketball observers, ESPN's Jemele Hill sees this as an opportunity for a more honest approach to the game.

So does Connecticut football coach Randy Edsall, who appears to favor paying players.

Former Phoenix Suns Jalen Rose, whose 'Fab Five' college career was posthumously marred by a scandal at Michigan was one of many who pointed out the NCAA's financial structure.

Of course, the bombshell report involving Miller's recruitment of Ayton generated the standard assortment of memes and schadenfreude.

But Lavar Ball's Big Baller Brand account had some wise words for fans of Arizona's foes who are chugging the haterade: You could be next.
