Looks like Sen. John McCain and his wife are enjoying the spring weather.

Cindy McCain shared a photo on her Instagram account of the couple enjoying a sunny day in Sedona Saturday. The 81-year-old Republican senator has been battling a deadly form of brain cancer.

"Warm sunny day in Sedona with @senjohnmccain," she wrote in her post.

In the photo the husband and wife who have been married since May 17, 1980 were clad in sunglasses and hats.

Cindy McCain is smiling in the selfie.

People wished the couple well and a few commented on the odd angle of the photo.

"Love you both," one person wrote. "Beautiful. Enjoy your day," said another comment.

On Friday, Cindy McCain posted a shot of the scenic setting she was enjoying with her husband.

"Magic time with @senjohnmccain," she said in the Instagram post. "Nothing is more beautiful than an Arizona sunset."

Meanwhile, McCain's daughter, Meghan, defended her ailing father on ABC's "The View" Friday after he was booed at the American Conservative Union's Conservative Political Action Conference.

The chairman of the group, Matt Schlapp, appeared with Meghan McCain during an episode of the daytime TV show co-hosted by McCain. She questioned why President Donald Trump urged the audience to boo her father for his 2017 vote that stopped GOP efforts to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.

She questioned why two other Republican senators who voted against the legislation — Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — didn't receive the same negative response.

"I know he's not a conservative darling, but why, at this moment, when he's suffering from the worst brain cancer that exists and going through chemo, why there can't be a modicum of respect for my family at this moment," Meghan McCain said.

John McCain was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in July. He was hospitalized in Bethesda, MD in December with a viral infection and for side effects relation to chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

He returned to Arizona on Dec. 17, where he has been recovering at the family's cabin in Cornville.

An official update has not been provided on his health since then, but Meghan McCain said in February that the senator has remained away from Washington, D.C. due to concerns about this year's brutal flu season.
