When it comes to decadence, the brownie just may be king of chocolate-baked desserts. To celebrate National Brownie Day, Dec. 8, we thought we'd check out 10 Valley restaurants and bakeries with creative takes on brownies. So make sure to save room for dessert.

Burger Theory

Here, the brownie is tucked into a Mason jar and topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauces, whipped cream and maraschino cherries ($5).

Phoenix Ale Brewery Central Kitchen

Made with the brewery’s Ironwood Porter, this brownie is baked in a cast-iron skillet and covered with vanilla gelato and caramel and chocolate sauces ($7).

This desert shop’s gooey brownie ($2.69) is crafted with house-made cocoa cookie crumbs and flake sea salt, creating a perfect moist-crunchy-salty-chocolate brownie storm. Meanwhile, the brookie-style brownie is stuffed with a peanut butter cookie made with house-made made peanut butter ($2.49).
