Have a trip coming up? Flying somewhere for the holidays? Well here are some things that will help you satisfy your hunger during your visit to Sky Harbor's Terminal 4.

  • Terminal 4 has four gate areas – A, B, C and D – spread among seven concourses. American Airlines, the busiest carrier at Sky Harbor, uses the A and B gates. Southwest, the second busiest, uses the C and D gates.  International carriers including British Airways, Air Canada and WestJet, use gates B15-28.
  • Short on time? Don't stray too far from your gate area in search of your favorite place. Walks between concourses can be lengthy.
  • Four restaurants are open 24 hours: two Wildflower Bread Company locations (before security and at gate A9); the pre-security Starbucks near the A and D checkpoints, and Paradise Bakery at gate C17.
  • Most coffee shops open early, some as early as 4 a.m. If you're in a rush, skip the Starbucks and Lola Coffee pre-security because you can't take that beverage through security. There are coffee shops on every wing except gates A1-14.
  • You can take food through security as long as it doesn't contain more than 3 ounces of liquid. Yogurt and peanut butter count as liquids.
  • You can't toast your trip with a mimosa or other alcoholic beverage before 6 a.m., per state liquor laws.
  • Looking for traditional fast food? Wendy's is in the B1-14 concourse and McDonald's is in the B15-28 concourse. You'll find Panda Express in the A1-14 concourse and Smashburger in the food court that's before security.
  • Most places stop serving breakfast by 10 or 10:30 a.m. but a few spots – including Matt's Big Breakfast (B1-14 concourse) and La Grande Orange (D1-8 concourse) – serve it all day. America's Taco Shop, which is before security, serves its chorizo breakfast burrito all day.
  • Calorie counting? You'll find a salad bar at MidCity Kitchen, yogurt and fresh fruit in most concourses and salads galore to go or eat in. Even Panda Express has a few low-calorie dishes.
  • In a hurry? Most of the big-name local restaurants – including Four Peaks, Sauce, Barrio Cafe, Cowboy Ciao and Blanco Tacos & Tequila – have to-go counters with ready-to-eat food.
  • Be prepared to pay a bit more. Airport prices are 10 percent higher than at the restaurants' original locations.
  • Want to catch the big game? The biggest bars and TVs are at Blanco Tacos & Tequila (A1-14 concourse), Four Peaks Brewing Company (A15-30 concourse), Matt's Big Breakfast (B1-14 concourse) and Humble Pie (C1-9 concourse). Before security, Chelsea's Kitchen is your best bet.
