Sen Al Franken

What’s worse than a United States Senate candidate who is accused of chasing after and molesting teenage girls?

Nothing (so far).

But it appears that Al Franken comes close.

The Minnesota senator is now accused of groping a second women – this time while a member of the Senate.

CNN is reporting that a 33-year-old Texas woman says the Democratic senator grabbed her rear end while posing for a picture at the Minnesota State Fair during the summer of 2010, nearly two years after he was elected.

"It (his hand) was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek," Lindsay Menz told CNN.

"It wasn't around my waist. It wasn't around my hip or side. It was definitely on my butt. I was like, oh my God, what's happening."

Accusers have witnesses, photos

Menz’s story comes after Leeann Tweeden said last week that Franken forcibly kissed her in 2006 during a USO tour. Tweeden also posted a picture of Franken grabbing her breasts while she slept.

While Tweeden has a picture of the Franken fondle, Menz has witnesses. Her parents and her husband all confirmed to CNN that she immediately told them about the senator’s butt grab. She also posted this on Facebook, at the time:

“Al Franken TOTALLY molested me! Creeper!”

The creeper, oops, I mean, the senator told CNN he doesn’t recall the incident but says he feels badly that she came away feeling “disrespected.”

Disrespected?  More likely, she felt disgusted and slightly nauseated. The guy used his position as a United States senator to cop a feel.

Franken should take his own advice

Franken already faces a Senate Ethics Committee hearing where he will no doubt explain away his treatment of Tweeden as a comedy skit.

What will be his explanation for his treatment of Menz? Senate overreach?

As for what happens now, I suggest that Franken follow the advice of a certain senator, offered just a month ago in the wake of Harvey Weinstein.

Beyond standing and supporting, senator, you should be resigning.
