American Airlines Flight 1033 didn't make a smooth landing Wednesday morning.

A passenger was duct-taped and zip-tied after attacking three crew members as the plane touched down in Charlotte, federal agents say.

Charlene Sarieann Harriott, 36, reportedly became violent as crew members tried to stop her from storming the cockpit, according to the Charlotte Observer.

She was taken into custody after the flight from Dallas landed.

What happened?

The two-and-a-half-hour flight was preparing to land from its 1,000 mile journey when the incident occurred.

Harriott ran from her seat in the back of the plane toward the cockpit, officials said.

Charlene Sarieann Harriott, 36, was taken into custody after a flight from Dallas/Fort Worth to Charlotte Wednesday morning.

The flight attendants, who had been seated for landing, ordered the 36-year-old to stop. They then chased Harriott down the aisle when she refused to sit down, according to officials.

The passenger "became more aggressive and physically violent toward the flight crew" when attendants tried to restrain her in first class, according to a complaint obtained by the Observer.

She made one attendant bleed after biting her arm, then hit a second attendant and kicked another in the stomach and leg, the complaint said.

All three were treated for their injuries at the American Airline’s airport medical clinic once the plane landed, the Observer reports.

It is not clear why Harriott stormed the cockpit.

She was charged with three counts of assault and battery for interfering with a flight crew and attendants.

Harriott is being held at the Mecklenburg County Jail in Charlotte.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
