Jolt Cola and all its caffeinated goodness is making a comeback

Jolt Cola, the precursor to the energy drinks we all love today, is making a comeback.

Social posts and company officials have announced that Jolt will return to store shelves this month. 

"It's a nostalgia thing," Jolt spokeswoman Kathryn Lyons told AdAge. "We are bringing the '90s back. Why not bring the '80s back? Everyone seems to be so receptive to it." 

AdAge is reporting that the drink will be available exclusively through Dollar General stores for a year. 

The drink was first released in the mid-80s with the promise of all the sugar and caffeine your body could handle.
